Planning ahead is the key to staying ahead. Now ensure Genuine Cat Parts are available when you need them, with our new Services Commitment Program with Cat® Customer Value Agreements (CVAs).  

A Services Commitment will guarantee delivery of parts and/or servicing within a certain timeframe, when covered by a Customer Value Agreement (CVA). Get additional peace of mind that the Cat® dealer is equipped to support, increasing uptime for their machines.  

As part of the CVA, the “Services Commitment Program” has two components: parts availability and service response time. Both these are available on machines less than 10 years old that are covered by a new or renewed CVA. Services Commitments will be included in all new or renewed CVAs as of January 1st, 2024. 


Cat guarantees genuine maintenance and common repair parts will be available to our CVA customers whenever you need them. You’ll receive a Cat Prepaid Credit, if your maintenance parts aren’t there by the end of the next business day or repair parts don’t arrive by the end of the third business day. Credits can be redeemed on Once issued the credit is valid for 12 months. 

Here is how it works: 

  • If you need a part, let us know and we’ll make sure it’s on hand.
  • Cat Prepaid Credits will be given if we are unable to get a maintenance part by the end of the next business day.
  • If you have a CVA with dealer-performed service, Cat Prepaid Credits will be given if we are unable to get a repair part by the end of the third business day.
  • If you have a CVA with dealer-performed service and need a service visit. You’ll Have the highest priority and we will attend the site within two business days.


CVAs are specifically designed to cater to the requirements of your operation, much like the commitment you have to fulfilling the needs of your customers. You can count on quick, high-quality servicing to keep your machine working as efficiently as possible. Your CVA assures you obtain the following with the Services Commitment:  

  • 2-day technician response will fix or diagnose unplanned repairs so that you can resume working as soon as possible. 
  • Get an appointment scheduled right away at the next available time slot with priority scheduling.  
  • Diagnostics before arrival to ensure your service appointment runs as smoothly as possible. 
  • Progress updates let your team know exactly when and how long it will take for your machine to be repaired.
