connecting dots

Sharjah, UAE – 20 November 2016

Al-Bahar in partnership with Caterpillar® Oil & Gas successfully participated in the 2016 Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center from November 7 – 10. For the fifth consecutive year Al-Bahar alongside Caterpillar, leveraged the platform to demonstrate the most recent Cat® Petroleum solutions and services that help its customers from oil and gas segment, achieve continued success.

The theme this year for the Caterpillar/Al-Bahar stand was ‘Connecting All Dots’ reflecting the improved focus on technology – Cat Connect. The stand highlighted how technology builds up an association between all the various aspects of the industry, offering the powerful advantage the unique platform Cat Connect offered, in particular to the Oil & Gas industry. The stand this year focused on connected assets including Cat Connect to Advanced Condition Monitoring solutions.

Cat Connect offerings, including Product Link Web, Advanced Condition Monitoring, and Productivity Optimizer for Gas Compression, were displayed at the Caterpillar / Al-Bahar ADIPEC exhibit. Caterpillar’s partnership with GTUIT – a manufacturer of mobile gas treatment systems was also showcased at the stand. Caterpillar and GTUIT are currently collaborating to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions designed to create customer value by treating associated gas from production wells with the expectation of reducing emissions and the related costs from flaring, and by conditioning pipeline fuel gas to drastically reduce compression fuel costs.

Commenting on the participation Chris Berrie, Sales Territory Manager for Caterpillar Oil & Gas in the Middle East quoted, “This year our emphasis was strongly on Gas Field Development and Cat® Connect technology—alongside our Product Support Solutions from regional dealers – Al-Bahar. The idea was to show our customers what Caterpillar can offer them throughout their project life cycle, from beginning to end.”

“We understand the petroleum industry is encountering unique challenges, and as Caterpillar, we are prepared to help our customers navigate through the uncertainty with solutions that will help their operations succeed. Our exhibit at this year’s ADIPEC show has helped our customers to realize the benefits of our new technologies. We are committed to showing how we collaborate with our Cat® dealer Al-Bahar, connecting the dots of our business, to add value for customers,” stated Berrie.

Al-Bahar and Caterpillar Oil & Gas were honored to have key customers visit the stand to discuss and preview the innovative solutions on display. The visitors’ list included among others the National Drilling Corporation – NDC, Noble Drilling, Wasco, Kuwait Oil Company, NPCC, Enerflex ADMA, ADCO, and more. “The oil and gas industry is one of most scrutinized segments these days. The scenarios are clear and the industry is known for its attribute to stay competitive even during challenges. Al-Bahar has always been with our customers, working closely with our customers to provide the ‘right-fit’ solution(s) that are critical to their specific situation”, quoted Mohamed El Kaddour, General Manager Energy & Transportation, Al-Bahar.

He also added, “Our durable and reliable Cat power system products and solutions are widely used and trusted by most of the big players and major operators in the industry. What differentiates us from the rest, is our aftermarket solutions.” Other stand highlights included special section for Product Support Services with focus on services like rebuild kit and maintenance kits. With live demos of Cat Connect, the experts explained the particulars, offering booth visitors a first-hand experience of the advantages technology provides, throughout the show.

The key messages, on the other hand, underscored the customer benefits of Cat products’ durability, reliability, safety and Al-Bahar’s aftermarket product support services and solutions, enabling customers lower operating costs, minimize downtime and increase safety and productivity – all highly critical especially during these challenging times.

This year’s 19th edition of ADIPEC, witnessed more than 2,000 exhibiting companies, 25 country pavilions, 700 speakers, 8,500 delegates, and 100,000 trade professionals from more than 125 countries. ADIPEC 2017 has been scheduled from 13 – 16 November. A big participation with bigger opportunities and possibilities awaits ADIPEC 2017.
